Mr Hussain Alnajjar

Consultant Urological Surgeon and Andrologist, BSc(MedSci), MCh(Urol), FRCS(Urol), FEBU

Mr Hussain Alnajjar, is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Andrologist, based at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). He is an Honorary Associate Professor at UCL. He has a wealth of experience in surgical andrology, general urology, male infertility, erectile dysfunction and penile prosthesis surgery, Peyronie's disease surgery, penile cancer, testicular cancer, male hypogonadism, pelvic pain conditions, and offers a range of services for the diagnosis of related conditions.

Mr Alnajjar began his medical education at the well-renowned St Andrews University in Scotland, graduating in Medical sciences. He then went on to graduate with a Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery from University College London Medical School. Following this, he was awarded a distinction by University of Edinburgh in his Masters of Surgery degree. He started his intensive surgical training in several London teaching Hospitals. He began his Higher Specialty Training in surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals focusing on all aspects of urology. Furthering his sub-specialist skills he then completed a fellowship at University College Hospitals in surgical andrology and genito-urethral oncology.

Mr Alnajjar is a fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons in England and the European Board of Urology. He has won numerous awards for his outstanding work, including a highly prestigious award from the Royal Society of Medicine. He has an active research interest with numerous publications in high-impact factor peer-reviewed medical journals. He is regularly asked to present his work at conferences internationally, as well as being an invited speaker and chair at conferences. He continues to contribute to the education of fellow colleagues by organising a national masterclass in andrology at UCLH and remains a mentor and a trainer to the fellows and trainee doctors at UCLH. He is also a tutor for students taking the Master’s degree in the andrology and penile cancer modules. He is an examiner for both, the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Fellowship of the European Board of Urology examinations.
