Dr Frances Yarlett had experience in general medical specialities before her current career as a GP in Sheffield. She enjoys all medical problems that patients have to offer but has a particular passion for working with young women and discussing issues that people may find embarrassing.

Outside her NHS work, Frances is Medical Director of The Lowdown, an online contraception platform, where she provides contraception and women's health advice to users, alongside creating social media content for a regular "Sunday Surgery".

Frances acts as a school governor and is actively involved in educational life at Sheffield High School by regularly offering career support and volunteering for outreach sessions at local schools in areas of social deprivation.
