myhairloss support programme

myhairloss provides 20 weeks of dedicated support, sent to you by email in bite-size chunks. Every week there is a PDF for you to download or print containing practical information about all things relating to hair loss, written by talkhealth and medical experts.

The average person has between 100,000 to 150,000 hairs and will lose between 100 to 150 on a daily basis. Hair loss, or alopecia, is a condition whereby individuals find themselves losing more hairs than this, with regrowth being stunted causing a noticeable loss of hair.

Some of the topics the programme covers include:

  • Different types of hair loss
  • Treatment options
  • Psychological impacts
  • Shampoo and conditioner advice
  • Patient stories and hints & tips
  • Latest research and much more!

Overall Rating

The myhairloss support programme has given me more confidence in my hair, I now know what to look out for in shampoos, conditioners and hair related products. I have found some useful charities and organisations offering support with hair loss and am now speaking to my doctor a lot less.

It gave me great insight into menopausal thinning and I was armed with great questions for my GP. Amazing advice on healthy eating too.

I have had alopecia from more than 5 years and my GP only gave me the same injections one a month with no help, and no other advice or anything. I just researched alone on the internet as I didn’t have any clue about what alopecia was. I discovered this site and I'm extremely happy and thankful to the team.

I feel this programme has been very supportive and educational. It made me realise I am not alone and the tips have given me food for thought on how to take care of my hair and things to do to prevent further hair loss. It has also given me a confidence boost because now I know there are products and services out there I can turn to for support.

Fantastic support group with handy tips, real life stories people can relate to, how to go forward and approach GP help even down to diet, the sleep you have and  even little things I never realized cause hair loss and so glad this group was here to help.
