Kidney Health

I have suffered kidney infections as a result of recurring UTI’s. How can I ensure I’m keeping my kidneys as healthy as possible?

Re: Kidney Health

The mainstay of reduced rick of recurrent infections and kidney protection is ensuring good general heath and a high fluid balance. If you are suffering from recurrent infections and kidney infections (pyelonephritis) you should have a kidney ultrasound scan to ensure your kidney are healthy and not harbouring stones etc. Your GP or locally urologists should be able to arrange this for you. In addition it is important to have early treatment of infections with antibiotics if your urine is truly infected - again this can be organised via your GP.
