Methotexate

I've been on Methotrexate for over two years. A year on tablets that made me so very sick and unable to deal with life for several days a week. A year ago they changed me to weekly injections, and at first I felt I had my life back as I was no longer getting sick. But the last couple of months it's been slowly getting worse and worse. Nausea and bad tummy for 3-4 days after the injection. This week I've been like this the whole week and I'm in tears at the thought of injecting myself tomorrow. Would it be safe to stop taking it? I'm not seeing my rheumatologist for 8 months and my specialist nurse in December but really want to stop now. I think I'd rather have the pain and psoriasis than this.
( I have psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.)

Re: Methotexate

Sounds the MTX is not suiting you at all.

Why don't you call your nurse specialist tomorrow.

There are other medications they can put you on.

If MTX is causing so much side effects it needs to be changed.

Call them Monday
