Family link?
I am 29 and am due to have blood tests for Rheumatoid Arthritis for at least the third time that I can remember. I get lots of pain in various joints and I was wondering as my mum is a sufferer and my mum's mum was also a sufferer of RA, is it very likely that I will also get it if I haven't already?

Hi,
the hallmarks of RA is joint pain, significant early morning stiffness with reduced grip, and joint swelling.
ESR CRP RF are routine bloods your GP will do if suspicious of the condition.
The new test anti-CCP, is a good test to do to predict weather you are likely to get it or not. However it is not performed routinely.
