Varicose eczema
I have varicose eczema and have been told to put 'makeup' on to cover the 'rash' I have on the bottom of my leg. Is there anything else I can do to hide the rash please?

Re: Varicose eczema
Many thanks for you question.
Varicose eczema can be more than a cosmetic concern as those who suffer are at higher risk of developing venous leg ulcers. Firstly, appropriate medical treatment should be provided. This includes:
1. soap substitutes or emollient washes to clean the skin
2. moisturisers or emollients
3. steroid treatments for short, sharp bursts to treat redness, itching, scaling or irritation
If despite these measures you wish to cover up the areas, then green tinted make up or primers can help neutralise redness before camouflage make up products are applied.
Best wishes,
Anjali
