Post-pregnancy weak bladder

A question from Karen who sent in a question for our clinic:
After 2 c sections - the last one 12 yrs ago I have some urinary incontinence. Is it possible to regain better bladder control?

Re: Post-pregnancy weak bladder

Hi Karen

The problem you descirbe is very common after childbirth, even with C-Section. The good news is that your symptoms can be improved by performing regular pelvic floor exercises, and you should see a physiotherapist first to make sure your technique is correct and your exercising the right muscles! If this doesn't help enough, there are many things that can be offered to improve your symptoms, and your urologist will be able to discuss these with you.

Good luck!
