Hello Kevin

Unfortunately, we are not medically trained and wouldn't be able to advise and therefore suggest if you have any concerns you contact your local health advisor.

What we do have, that can certainly offer practical support is our mywound support programme https://www.talkhealthpartnership.com/support/mywound that demonstrates how to look after a range of wounds and what you might expect over a period of timing in terms of what the wound should look like and behave. Along with providing practical hints and tips to promote the best healing possible. Please see here.

Thank you

Your problem is not cleaning your problem is the wrapping. Wounds heal faster when you do not wrap it. The air must get into the wound and the good bacteria have to work on it. The white blood cells will work on it too.
