Help skin issue

Hi everyone,
First time poster here so thank you for any advice in advance.
I have a small (maybe 1 inch wide) patch of problem skin on my foot, I have had this for a year or two but recently it's started to be alot more obvious in colour and started to become a little uncomfortable.
I have attached a couple of photos, does anyone have any idea what this might be please?
I have tried alot of creams including standard moisturizer, savlon, germolene and aproderm and even covering this with a plaster with the cream under, this helps with the dryness but it never seems to help the actual issue.
