Missed period & pregnancy
How soon after a missed period is a test reliable to show a positive/negative pregnancy?

Hi there, modern pregnany tests are very accurate and should show up positive by three weeks after the day you conceived. Usually by the time you have missed a period a test done on the first urine sample of the morning (so it is more concentrated from being held overnight in your bladder) would show up a pregnancy. Can I ask, are you wanting to be pregnant or not wanting to be pregnant? Dr Webberley

Thank you for the information. I am hoping to be pregnant but am currently only a few days late so will leave it a few days before doing a test!
