Thank you. I am sorry to hear about your problems.

Geographic tongue may cause your tongue to be sensitive to foods. You might want to ask for a referral to an oral surgeon. However, meanwhile you might want to ask your GP to check you for vitamin B12 and folic acid deficiency and for a coeliac disease. It may be that these tests have already been done. It also may be a good idea in first place to have a professional examination by your GP or dentist.
