Endometriosis and hysterectomy

Endometriosis and hysterectomy
About 4 years ago I had to have some investigation into troubles with my womb. I was getting heavy intermittent bleeding in between periods and sometimes after intercourse. The exploratory operation confirmed I had endometriosis and I was advised that the best way to stop the bleeding was to have a hysterectomy. However, after the exploratory the symptoms subsided and it was decided that a hysterectomy could go on hold. It's been on hold ever since.
However, I'm just wondering if perhaps I may need a hysterectomy at some point due to the endometriosis and therefore am I just delaying the inevitable? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: Endometriosis and hysterectomy
If the symptoms are under control, there would be no need to have a hysterectomy. Often endometriosis can reduce with pregnancy, contraceptive pill use or some other hormonal medications. No need to have major surgery if not necessary.
