There are many options for exercising at home. Stretching. Pilates. Yoga. Tai chi. Body weight exercises and as already mentioned staying as active as possible. Gardening. House work. Walking and Running.
It obviously depends on your current health/fitness to where you start. But moving as much as you can is advisable.
