Ichthyosis and Diabetes Type II

I have both Ichthyosis XLI and Diabetes Type II

The Ichthyosis seems to require me to maintain higher food intake levels to replace the additional skin scales I create whilst the Diabetes seems to require me to reduce as far as possible to minimise sugar levels from sugars and saturates.

Can the experts offer some advice on achieving a suitable balance?

Thank you (Jeremy)

Re: Ichthyosis and Diabetes Type II

Dear Jeremy, thank you for posting your question. A balanced diet is good for well being and maintaining health skin and good glycaemic control. You can maintain a good diet without high sugar intake with regular meals and hydration. Please discuss with your diabetic team how best to achieve this.
