Bullous Phemphigoid

I've just joined and wondering if there is any advice for treatment and prognosis for Bullous Pemphigoid? Thank you

Hi there,

Bullous pemphigoid can be an intensely itchy and distressing condition that tends to affect older individuals. I tend to prescribe strong steroid creams (e.g. Dermovate), doxycycline tablets (an anti-inflammatory antibiotic) and, if we need them, steroid tablets. The combination is generally successful.

It tends to go away itself in one to five years.
