spotting

I spot alot of the month & I'm in my 40s & finding it difficult to conceive, do you think there's an issue & that I'm too old to being trying for a baby? The doctors tests have came back with no issues. So any advice really.

Re: spotting

Hi no I don’t think you are too old to have a baby keep trying but it may take longer as your body has fewer eggs and the body is less good at selecting the good ones so it may take longer. General health is important including your weight. If you have been trying longer than 6 months then it may be worth seeking help from fertility services although you may not be eligible for nhs treatment I am afraid.
Regarding the spotting please make sure your smears are up to date and someone should take a look at your cervix to check all is ok. It may be that you have a polyp or it could be normal for you but the above should be ruled out first. I hope that helps and good luck!
