Eczema & hair loss
My daughter has atopic eczema. I have found since lock down her hair has really broken off which has caused her a lot of stress. The eczema is so itchy at times that it has also caused her to loose her eye brows through rubbing.
She feels she can no longer do anything with her hair, she used to have it in single plaits. She's about to start college in September and is very self conscious especially with having no eye brows. Her hair has never been very long (afro hair). Its approximately 5cm in length with patches now. She was diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency about 3mths ago.
Many thanks, C

Re: Eczema & hair loss
Thank you for your question. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter hair loss. It happens in eczema due to rubbing. The best option is to control eczema and in such case hair usually grows back. Ask your dermatologist or GP if she can have Etrivex shampoo and for eyebrows - tacrolimus ointment, to control eczema.
I hope this is helpful.
