Urge incontinence

I have had a problem with urge incontinence for a couple of years now. The urge to go to the loo comes on very quickly and within a couple of minutes I have to go. If I cannot find a toilet I am completely unable to hold it and I just wet myself, which can be extremely embarrassing. No amount of pelvic exercises or trying to hold it in work. Also, the closer I get to a toilet the less I can hold it!

Are there any treatments or surgery available? I have not seen my GP about this as yet.

Thank you.

Re: Urge incontinence

Thanks for the question. If you have failed the simple measures described then it is probably time to see your GP and discuss tablet treatments for what sound very much like Overactive Bladder Syndrome.
