Mattress issues

Hi, I have Arthritis and find it hard getting comfortable at night and having trouble finding the right mattress. If my mattress is too soft my joints relax too much and I get backache. If my mattress is too hard then I get a bruised feeling having laid with my sore joints on a harder surface. I’m considering a memory foam mattress so it can adjust to my weight but not sure if it will help with this problem? Also can memory foam make you sweat? Thanks

Re: Mattress issues

A mattress with memory foam in it would certainly be good for pressure relief. Look for one with a layer of at least 5cm of memory foam as anything less than this is unlikely to give you the pressure relief needed for your complaint. Although most foams are a good insulator, the latest technology used in foam production has reduced the amount of heat build up and coupled with the latest mattress fabric technology, overheating is not the issue it once was.
