If you have been diagnosed with Peyronie's disease will it get worse in time, or will the curvature remain the same?

Peyronie’s disease tends to have an active phase followed by a period of stability. The curvature can worsen in some cases during the active phase. It can also stay relatively stable, or even improve slightly in some cases.

It’s often very helpful to have digital photos when consulting your urologist, that show the curvature. This will also help you to keep track of progression of the curvature.

The urologist can use these photos to then offer the best treatment modality for you. This can range from pain relief, traction devices, to operative intervention if the disease is no longer in the active phase. The active phase can last anything up to 18 months.
