Diet

I am wondering whether my diet and what/how much I drink makes a difference to my bowel leakage? If so what should I be doing to try and ease the amount I leak?

Re: Diet

Hi Felicity

Diet and fluids play a major part in our gut health, the consistency of the stool, and the time it takes for stool to transit through the large intestine.

In order to obtain optimal gut health I suggest to start with lifestyle changes of diet and fluids. Stay hydrated whilst restricting stimulant fluids such as caffeine and alcohol, as well as a balanced fibre rich diet avoiding spicy foods is suggested.

you might also consider the low-fodmap diet plan is a diet plan of probiotic rich food. Probiotics can help restore the natural balance of bacteria in your gut.
