Burning

Hi, for the past few months my urine has caused burning on my skin. I don’t have cistitis as it doesn’t burn to actually pass water and I don’t get sudden urgency to pee. I do, however, have stress incontinence so wear a Tena panty liner. The burning is after peeing and also causes itching.
I’ve started using a barrier cream in the hope it will help.

Sometimes making the urine less acid is good for this - you can buy over the counter preparations for this. Perhaps addressing the stress incontinence with physiotherapy or surgery if physio already tried should be considered.

I feel you need to be seen by a general practitioner and to be examined. Potentially either a barrier cream or other therapy might be helpful.
