Urgency

Hi
I have urgency issues, for the past few months
If I need to urinate I need to go as soon as possible.
I can not seem to hold it in as I used to.

Re: Urgency

Bladder urgency is very common and usually easily treatable.
the bladder is a sensitive muscle and so 1st consider some simple lifestyle changes to reduce any stimulants which may be contributing to its sensitivity and the urgency. Try reducing caffeine and fizzy drinks, and ensuring fluid intake is adequate for your body size. avoid constipation.
You might consider contacting your local NHS Bladder and Bowel Service for further advise which will include bladder retraining and pelvic floor muscle exercises. Check NHS choices to find a service in your local area.
