Still having symptoms from Endometriosis

I read that the average time it takes to be diagnosed with Endometriosis is 10 years. I was diagnosed 23 years after the symptoms started. I was also told that it resolves itself after the Menopause. Due to the problems associated with Endometriosis I have had 4 surgeries culminating in a hysterectomy. I still have symptoms and I have now been informed that in some post-menopausal women, the symptoms actually continue due to there still being implants and oestrogen from sources other than the ovaries. Is this the case? How would this be treated?

Thanks Jacquie
