hello i am 66 and i have had urge incontanance for 5 years i have been given medication that either stops me from passing urine or having so many bad side affects and it is affecting my relationship with my husband as sex is a big no help please ,

Hi

It sounds as though your symptoms are really bothering you despite trying some medications. Has your doctor checked your urine sample to make sure there are no signs of infections or bleeding? It would also be helpful to make sure you are not drinking large amounts of caffeine or fizzy drinks as they can often make urge incontinence worse. If you have tried all these things then I would suggest seeing a Urologist who specialises in incontinence, as there are other options to treat your symptoms that may help you a lot more than the medications. I hope this helps.
