Do heavy periods improve after childbirth. I have had heavy painful periods all my life but not had children. I wondered if this is a myth or not?

A myth I'm afraid, they can stay the same or occasionally get worse, but there are plenty of treatments for all eventualities.

Hi

Painful periods (Dysmenorrhea) may improve after childbirth.
What we call it Primary Dysmenorrhea is pain with periods is more common in young girls prior to pregnancy. It will get better. However, conditions like endometriosis will cause pain and may improve slightly after pregnancy.
Heavy periods will not differ but will vary and may get better by different contraceptive methods like the pills/ depo provera may improve heavy painful periods

all the best
