you need to discuss your pain in the context of your sleep with your GP, there may be drugs that can deal with your pain as well as help you sleep

I suspect that your sleep apnoea coupled with your back pain may be the cause of your problems, ensuring that your OSA is adequately treated and discussing how pain can affect your sleep with your Doctor, and possible remedies for this, may help

You need to discuss this problem with your GP, there are other medications that could potentially help you feel more alert during the day, but only they will know if they are suitable for you.

If you are disturbed during the night and don't fall back to sleep within approx 20 minutes the advice is to stop trying to sleep and either turn the light on and read, if that is possible or get up go to another room and do something relaxing until you feel sleepy again.
