Hi, which knee are we talking about here - the left or the right? If it is the knee awaiting knee replacement then options may include a steroid injection or a Synsvic injection into the joint if appropriate. Re: ? Polymyalgia or something else ?
hi,
looks like you need a fresh look at your symptoms.
early morning stiffness around the shoulder +/- pelvic area which improves as the day goes on is typical of PMR.
Did you get a fantastic response to steroids?
Consider speaking to your GP again/second opinion.
Thanks
Sandeep

Re: RA all over
Hi,
OA and RA can affect all these joints.
Has your doctor considered a joint injection if your op will be more than 3 months away?
Hope that helps
thanks

Re: Baricitanib
Hi,
Baricitanib is a new drug used in RA.
It can work very well, and is well worth a shot.
Any one drug may not work in an individual.
There is no method of predicting this.
I would go with your Rheumatologists recommendation.
Thanks
Sandeep

Re: knobbly fingers
hi,
assuming this is simple OA, then keeping the joints active and consideration to Glucosamine can help.
If you have joint swelling in addition then you may need alternative medication.
Have a review from your GP in the first instance.
Thanks

Re: Osteoarthritis in spine and wrists
Hi,
general muscle strengthening and keeping active is the key. Control weight. Good mattress and pillow.
You can also think about glucosamine which may help in some forms of OA.
Thanks
