Re: Not sure if it's just my anxiety

Hi there, this sounds really awful for you, I am so sorry. What we really need to work out is why this is happening to you, is it a result of bad experiences in childhood or in your past? Therapy such as counselling, CBT, hypnotherapy can all help try and find out why. Anti-depressants are supposed ...

Re: De~realization

Hi there, I'm not sure whether you have seen your doctor about this or not, but I suggest you do. They will need to run through a few checks on eg medication / drugs, and your mental functioning to make sure that this is what you are suffering from. It is a little known condition, and needs more eva...

Re: Finding it hard to sleep

Hi Mary, it seems that you have spotted that the stress in your life is keeping you awake. Although it seems very tempting to ask for sleeping tablets, these do not solve the problem of the stress. Your mind is whirring away by night and day, and at night time when it is quiet, the whirring is more ...

Re: Anxiety Medication

Hi there, anxiety can be terribly crippling and awful to live with. Clearly there is something unhappy in you which is niggling away at you and causing anxiety when it is not needed. Although SSRIs can help, and Sertraline is very good at anxiety treatment, they don't get to the route of the problem...

Re: Anxiety and depression

Hello, I agree with Wendy that if your current depression medication is not working then you need to look at some additional therapy to help you. Talking therapy is fantastic as it gets right into the bottom of things to see where the depression is coming from and why it is not lifting. The brain is...

Re: What is it with me?

Hi there, thank you for your post. This is a problem that we see a lot, this self-destruction, and it is very sad. I agree with Karina and Wendy and I'm glad that you are seeking help and advice to break this habit. I wonder what your childhood was like, did you have a loving environment or was it a...

Re: Teens

Hi there, I totally agree that you shouldn't just let your daughter suffer with this. There are lots of effective treatments for acne to stop new spots and to prevent scarring. If your GP can't help then ask another doctor in the practice or push to be referred to a dermatologist. No children should...

Re: Skin Moles

Hi there, I totally agree with Dr Mahto, but I would also say that you should get them all looked at bny your GP to make sure none of them need any treatment. Sometime mild skin cancers can look just like warts and you should get a doctor to give you a regular skin check up! Dr Webberley

Re: Acne scars

Hi, the most important thing to stop the scars is to stop the cane altogether. There are creams, lotions, hormone pills and tablet antibiotics. If these haven't worked after giving them a proper go (two months determined treatment), then you should ask to see a dermatologist. Nobody should have to s...
