Re: Children on the autistic spectrum
I have Asperger's syndrome (late, but solidly, diagnosed at the age of 48. It explained a lot) and I now have quite severe CFS /ME. It's only anecdotal but on neither Autism or CFS support groups have I spotted an unusual concentration of the other condition showing up. If there is a statistical con...

And a big thank you from me. Not from the ME.

Re: For Jessica Bavinton
Having had a quick look at a couple of the past clinics, I get the impression those of us with CFS/ME/Fibromyalgia have both generated a higher volume of questions than average, and also shown a greater tendency to be active and challenging. It's understandable We get enough forced passivity at home...

Re: Information Overload
. Although I have limited physical stamina I also have limited mental stamina. .. I can literally feel the energy draining out of me and my mind just sort of grinding to a halt... I have the same problem if I am in a noisey/bright/hectic type environment... Is there any help that can be offered for...

... you can learn to laugh again and find meaning in life. Thank you. And good wishes to you all. The possibility of recovery I have not written off. I've always been able to laugh: it's a major and resilient resource, even if one somewhat black and twisted... "Having CFS is like being dead, b...

Re: Activity management
I am referring to the GET program - not activity management - that. Is being prescribed.... The professionals involved are giving us a program and telling us it's GET. You are absolutely right and it is not your confusion. There are at least two entities out there wearing the GET uniform. While one...

Re: What are my odds?
I know we're not supposed to be answering questions etc, "If you are going to break a rule, break it good and hard." There seem to be quite a few of us bolshie types here, and all the better for that, say I. If formally challenged I will defend myself and leave if necessary. but it's real...

Re: Why do we have to be expert patients?
Two things: Firstly a statement of general support for your point, and to say the best information, practical advice and help I have had, by far, has come from a peer group of CFS/ME sufferers on-line, not through any NHS channel with, latterly, one major exception: I now have a superb Occupational ...

Re: Harmful Excercise
Thank you, Dr Miller. For something nicely measured to work with and from. the people who make the best recovery from CFS/ME steer a compromise between over and under activity. People who fare badly either tend to drive themselves too hard and "crash" " Could we add "or are drive...

Re: Healthy ready meals?
Thank you for your response :) I currently can only have shopping once a week and order online which is why I have been relying on frozen food and ready meals. I'm with you on a weekly shop, delivered, and in not wanting food preparation to take up more than is absolutely necessary out of a very li...
