Re: Infant acne
Dear Rosie,
It is thought to be genetic in origin and lasts a few months. Benzoyl peroxide gel can help. You can read more here https://dermnetnz.org/topics/infantile-acne .
I hope this is helpful.
Kind regards

Re: Allergy Tests
Dear Sally,
There are 2 tests: prick test for foods (done by immunology) and patch test for allergens one touches like preservatives in creams (done by dermatology). I think you should start from prick test.
I hope this is helpful.

Re: Needing to see a doctor
Dear Anna,
Thank you for your question. I think it would be a good idea for your children to see a doctor once a year.
Kind regards
Anton

Dear Josie,
Thank you for your question. I would suggest you would take your daughter to see your GP or dermatologist to treat her acne. There is a number of treatments available on prescription from Epiduo and Duac gels, oral antibiotics to Roacutane.
I hope this is helpful.
Kind regards.

Dear Jane, Thank you for your question. Generally it is better to treat it when the child can tolerate it. The treatment is laser. Your GP needs to refer your grandson to plastic surgery or dermatology on NHS. The laser specialist would advise when he is likely to tolerate laser. I hope this is help...

Re: Acne returned and extreme scaly skin
Thank you for your question. Ask your dermatologist for Roacutane treatment for acne. It sounds like you also have seborrheic dermatitis, so you may also need ketoconazole cream or shampoo.
I hope this is helpful.
