depression and insomnia
I’ve had on/off depression for a few years now and problems with my sleep, either wanting to sleep all the time or having issues with falling and staying asleep. Both problems are really impacting so many areas of my life and I've tried so many things to help it. I was wondering if insomnia is a sym...

Mood swings
I am finding my mood swings hard to deal with at the moment. I am menopausal and my hormones are doing all kinds of things to me. I'm snappy, cry at anything and can be horrible to be around at times. Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do to try and get more in control?

Menopause and waking early
I am just over 50 years of age and presume I am now going into the menopause. I find I wake up now very early in the morning and immediately feel very anxious for what appears to be no reason. I have never had this before – is there anything I can do to stop this or do I just have to stick it out, a...

History of dodgy smears - when could daughters be tested?

My girls have both had the HPV vaccine and are in their early teens. Given my history, should I be worried for them even thought they've ha...

Re: What time of day do you feel your worst?
Having just started the peri menopause I'm sure that my symptoms will get worse. However I currently struggle most at night with the hot sweats and in the morning with my mood swings. Once I've eaten I seem to be okay (or maybe that's just because my children have gone to school by then!!!)

Osteoporosis
One of the things my doctor has told me I'm going to have to be careful of due to my early menopause is osteoporosis. He recommends that I start taking HRT to help this but I'm not sure whether I want to be going down the HRT route or not. Has anyone else got any advice/thoughts on this?

New to it all...
Hello I'm nearing 40 and have recently been told by my doctor that I am peri menopausal. Over the past few years my periods have been becoming very irregular and short so I went to the doctor who gave me a blood test. I NEVER imagined that I would be going through it this early! Thank goodness I hav...
