Its possibly the nylon not allowing the skin to breathe. Swap back to your cotton undies. Have you heard of Udderly SMooth? I use it, its fantastic stuff!
They also do a cream to prevent chaffing for cyclists, so is safe for use in the nether regions!!

I found Udderly Smooth abolutely fantastic!! Its cheaper than the other things too so value for money.
