This really depends on the underlying cause of the problem. The most commonly used topical creams are steroid based and some patients notice a marked improvement with this in the first instance.

Generally speaking home remedies don't really work. If it isn't too serious and there is free movement, depending on the underlying cause topical treatments such as steroids can help.

Many men successfully manage to have sex with a phimosis. This can however be tricky due to the foreskin to retracting and in more severe cases, bleeding due to over stretching.
