Institute of Osteopathy
The Institute of Osteopathy is the not-for-profit professional body representing osteopaths, and is dedicated to suporting, uniting, promoting and developing the profession of osteopathy for the improvement of public health.
The institute is proud to represent over two thirds of osteopaths in the United Kingdom.. We promote high standards of professionalism and ethical behaviour through initiatives such as our Patient Charter, the development of a Service Standards, supporting research and delivering evidence based post registration training for osteopaths.
Osteopathic practice is a safe and effective form of manual therapy, dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of health problems using education, exercises and hands-on treatment.
